What is ACH (Automated Clearinghouse)?

ACH is the electronic payment network used to transfer duties, taxes, and fees between importers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Importers can enroll in ACH Debit (CBP draws funds), ACH Credit (the importer initiates payment), or ACH Refunds (CBP returns money owed back to the importer’s bank account).
