What is CAFTA-DR (Central America-Dominican Republic FTA)?

CAFTA-DR is the free trade agreement between the United States, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Like other FTAs, it provides preferential duty treatment on goods that meet the agreement’s rules of origin.
