What is Entry Type?

The entry type is the two-digit code on the Entry Summary that tells CBP what kind of import this is — for example, 01 for consumption, 02 for consumption with quota or visa, 03 for antidumping or countervailing duty, 11 for informal, 23 for temporary importation under bond. The entry type drives processing and review.
