An FDA filing is the prior notice and entry data required for imports of food, drugs, medical devices, cosmetics, and related products regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. CBP processes FDA data through ACE; an FDA hold can delay release until the agency reviews and clears the shipment.
