What is FWS (Fish & Wildlife Service)?

FWS is the U.S. agency that regulates imports of fish, wildlife, and related products under laws including the Endangered Species Act, the Lacey Act, and CITES. Importers of covered goods must file with FWS through ACE and may need permits before release.
