What is In-Bond?

An in-bond movement is the transit of imported goods within the United States under CBP supervision, before duty has been paid. The three common in-bond types are IT (Immediate Transportation, port-to-port within the U.S.), T&E (Transportation & Exportation, through the U.S. to a foreign destination), and IE (Immediate Exportation, exported from the same port of arrival).
