What is Liquidation?

Liquidation is CBP’s final calculation of the duties, taxes, and fees owed on an entry. Most entries liquidate by operation of law 314 days after entry summary filing, at which point the importer’s right to amend via Post-Summary Correction ends and any remaining disputes must be raised by protest within 180 days.
