What is MPF (Merchandise Processing Fee)?

The Merchandise Processing Fee is a CBP fee on most formal entries — currently 0.3464% of declared value, with a minimum and maximum per entry. MPF is collected on top of duty and applies regardless of country of origin (with limited exceptions for certain FTAs).
