What is Out-of-Gauge (OOG)?

Out-of-gauge cargo is freight that exceeds the standard internal dimensions of an ocean container — too long, too wide, or too tall. OOG shipments typically move on flat racks or open-tops and command surcharges for the lost capacity around them.
