A USMCA certificate of origin is the self-certification an importer, exporter, or producer prepares to claim USMCA preferential duty treatment. Unlike NAFTA, USMCA does not require a specific form — only that the certification include nine required data elements demonstrating the good qualifies under USMCA rules of origin.
